Noni and Pop

Every other Monday we join Noni and Pop for Family Home Evening.

Family home evening is something we do every Monday night. We sing a song, say the Pledge of allegiance, and have a lesson on church principles and skills that build character (ie honesty, being kind to others, making good decisions when watching tv or reading books). Then we have an activity (like: hide and seek, duck-duck goose, color a picture, etc...) and closing prayer which is usually our family prayer for the night. The boys LOVE Monday nights!!!

Sometimes keeping them still is quite the effort- but it's important that we take that time as a family to do it. It is Important that our children are always being taught correct principles to govern themselves by. How do we expect our little ones to learn if we do not teach them? I have to remind myself that when they are trying to parachute off the arm of the chair during the song or keep tapping their brother during a lesson on kindness.
